One of the biggest challenges you’re likely to face is Yveltal, who is a bit of a tanks.

Yveltal Weakness Pokemon GO

Yveltal has a Dark/Flying-type combination. This leaves it with a nice range of resistances but an even better range of weaknesses.

To take down Yveltal, you should consider bringing Electric, Fairy, Ice and Rock-type Pokemon to the party.

Best Counters For Yveltal

A mixture of any of the above types will set you on your way to being successful in Yveltal raids, however, some Pokemon are definitely more well suited.

If you’re going to bring a Mega Pokemon to the battle, Mega Manectric is by far your best choice. Mega Ampharos can also offer good coverage.

Mega Manectric/Ampharos can provide a nice boost to other Electric-type Pokemon, including Zekrom, Therian Thundurus, Electivire, Magnezone and Raikou, all of whom should be priorities.

Rock-type Pokemon are always reliable when it comes to hitting hard with the trio of Rampardos, Rhyperior and Terrakion your top picks here.

If you’re looking to cool things down a little with Ice-types, Galarian Darmanitan and Mamoswine are solid options, with Gardevoir and Togekiss your top Fairy-types.
