‘Your wife is not your family’: Nigerian man sets Twitter on fire

A Nigerian man has taken to Twitter to share a polarizing opinion on marriage – he claims that married men should not regard their wives as family members.

According to him, the only women a man should regard as members of his family are his mother, sister, and daughter. He further stated that those are the only females that should matter in a man’s life.

His view elicited lots of comments from many who opposed his view and pointed out the importance of marriage and family.

“When I say your wife is not your family they think I’m being funny but the fact remains that your wife is not your family. The only female that can ride for you is your mom, sister and daughter and these are the only female that should matter.”
