Ivelia, Rasen’s sister, planned a crucial test for him in the previous chapter of this intriguing manhwa. Ivelia tries to connect with Rasen, but he takes it as criticism of his lack of magical growth over the past year. Rasen is still adjusting to life following his exile. They had a touching but uncomfortable moment together.
Rasen next gets ready for the perilous task of eliminating a group of nasty goblins in a nearby toxic forest, which is part of Ivelia’s test. He devises a brilliant plan with the help of Ivelia and a magician called Sade. Rasen kills all but one of the territorial goblins without ever touching them by baiting them with meat.
This clever and well-planned response to the goblin danger amazes Ivelia. Rasen avoided himself and his companion’s needless danger by making use of their inherent feral instincts. His creative answer reveals the boy’s hidden intelligence, which lies beneath his cold exterior.
To resist his inevitable doom, Rasen still has a long way to go in terms of self-improvement. Sungmin sees promise in the disturbed youth, and this demonstration of intelligence and resourcefulness proves it.
Rasen sneaks out of hiding to kill the last goblin after ingeniously pitting them against each other. Having not used magic, he appears worried that his unconventional win will disappoint Ivelia.
But she is both captivated and intrigued by his cunning plan. The three of them proceed into the goblin cave together, hoping to find any survivors, but they come up empty-handed.
After Ivelia leaves, Rasen tells Sade that they’ll be camping out in the woods for a while longer. The actual test Ivelia had been waiting for, a vicious white tiger, emerges from the cave, and his logic becomes crystal plain.
