Over the past couple of weeks, rumors have been running rampant about Microsoft releasing its Xbox exclusives on rival platforms, which has led many fans to speculate that Microsoft could stop making Xbox hardware. However, a new report claims Phil Spencer held an internal townhall meeting last week to reassure employees that this would not be the case.

Journalist Shannon Liao reports Phil Spencer told employees that Microsoft has no plans to stop making consoles and that Xbox hardware will continue to be part of a strategy that involves "multiple kinds" of devices.

After rumor and speculation about Xbox reached boiling point, Microsoft broke its silence, with Spencer confirming that the company will share its "vision for the future of Xbox" in a "business update" sometime this week.

Since then, there has been no word from Microsoft, and the rumors have continued to fester. In our most recent poll, we asked TrueAchievements members if they were concerned about the future of Xbox. The community appears pretty divided on the topic, with 52% of voters saying they weren't concerned. We should hear more about when this "business update" will take place this week soon, and hopefully, all of our questions will be answered.
