He was born on 3 January 1959 in Bilabrine, N’guigmi Cercle, French Niger. After completing his schooling, he attended Cheikh Anta Diop University. He is married, and his wife’s name is Hadiza Ben Mabrouk.

Her career
From 2021 until 2023, Mohamed Bazoum presided as Niger’s tenth president. After winning the 2020–21 presidential election and surviving a botched coup attempt, he took office in April 2021. However, his tenure was cut short in July 2023 when he was deposed from power during a coup led by members of the presidential guard and armed forces.
Prior to becoming president, Bazoum held important positions in politics and administration. Before assuming the presidency, he served as the leader of the Nigerien Party for Democracy and Socialism (PNDS-Tarayya).
Throughout his political career, Mohamed Bazoum held the position of foreign affairs minister for two distinct administrations, from 1995 to 1996 and again from 2011 to 2016.
Moreover, he served as the Interior Minister of State from 2016 until he decided to concentrate on running for president in the 2020–21 election. He also temporarily served as the Minister of State at the presidency in 2016. He has a net worth of $1-5 million.
