A lawsuit has been filed on Sunday. Scott Lassiter who is an assistant principal in Wake County and former candidate for state House claimed that his wife Jamie Lassiter had an extramarital for three years with the speaker and it has “destroyed” their marriage. Moore is an executive director of the North Carolina Conference of Clerks of Superior Court
Moore is accused of using his authority to prevent Jamie Lassiter from leaving the relationship, as per Scott Lassiter. In the separate statements which got released on Sunday, both Moore and Jamie Lassiter denied the claims.
“It is a baseless lawsuit from troubled individuals,” Moore told Axios via a spokesperson on Sunday night. “We will defend this action and follow all available legal remedies.” She further added.
Jamie Lassiter told Axios through an attorney that she and Scott parted their ways years back and contradicted Scott’s claim in the lawsuit that they got separated in early 2023.

“Our marriage was none less than a bad nightmare, and since I left him, it has got worse,” Jamie revealed. She further mentioned, “We came to an end by having a divorce process and this is how he’s lashing out.”
As per the 20-page lawsuit of Scott, Moore “angrily pursued a sexual relationship with Mrs. Lassiter, even though he knew that she is married,” in 2019. Both Moore and Lassiter were married in early 2013 and had a lovely relationship together until that point, according to Scott.
Scott Lassiter claimed that he has put Jamie under surveillance on the 21st of December in 2022 after learning about their alleged affair. This validated his suspicions that she and Moore are sharing some bond, having an affair, the lawsuit claims.
