Spoilers ahead for both the Bridgerton book series and season three of the TV adaptation.

Eloise is one of the most beloved characters on Bridgerton. Played by Claudia Jessie, she is the quick-witted, feminist middle sibling of the Bridgerton clan, who refuses to adhere to social norms, and is often seen trying to scheme her way out of the balls and promenades her mother so desperately wants her to participate in.

Season two saw Eloise make her debut in society, with her mom, Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell), hoping she is just as successful on the marriage market as Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) was the previous year. Yet, she refuses to engage, sneaking off to try and figure out who Lady Whistledown is, and meets Theo Sharpe (Calam Lynch), a printer's assistant and revolutionary, in the process.

As Jessie describes Eloise's arc in season two: "We see her enter society and, as she describes in the series, this mad ritual where you dance for your partner. And we see her struggle in that environment but not lose that spunky integrity that we love about Eloise. We see her great humor in how she’s branching out and exploring new schools of thought about female autonomy and being independent. And not being her sister, and being okay with that."

Though Theo and Eloise have a falling out at the end of season two, caused by Penelope a.k.a. Lady Whistledown, it's clear Eloise cares deeply for Theo. But when viewers see Eloise again in season three, Theo is no longer a factor (and actor Calam Lynch, who plays Theo, isn't in the first four episodes). Rather, the third season finds Eloise trying to fit in with the Ton, befriending Cressida (Jessica Madsen), and deciding to move to Scotland for the time being with her sister, Francesca (Hannah Dodd).

Despite no romantic love interest for her in the newest Bridgerton installment, as viewers watch, many are curious on Eloise's love story and endgame.

Who does Eloise end up with in the Bridgerton books?

In To Sir Phillip, With Love, the fifth Bridgerton book, Eloise is dubbed a spinster for being single at 28, and she's just fine with that. She wants more out of life than to be married—but after her best friend Penelope finds love, she starts to doubt her own choice to stay single. Enter Sir Phillip Crane, a moody widower and single father whose unexpected proposal changes her life overnight. Spoiler: they end up living happily ever after.

Is Sir Phillip Crane in the series?

Yes: Sir Phillip (Chris Fulton) is introduced at the end of season one, and he's seen again in season two as the husband of Marina Thompson (Ruby Barker). He marries Marina after his brother, George Crane, dies during the war, leaving Marina pregnant. In one scene, Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) goes to visit Marina, and she tells him "we are not all guaranteed a fairy tale ending." Phillip and Colin bond over their travels, and that's all we see of him in the season. In season three, part one, he doesn't appear, and likely won't be in part two either.

Would the Bridgerton series introduce Sir Phillip if he wasn't meant to be endgame for Eloise? We'll just have to wait patiently for future seasons of Bridgerton.
