The spiritual successor to the 1992 classic Candyman will finally release this week after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the movie to delay its initial release.

Here’s everything you need to know about Jordan Peele’s Candyman, including whether or not it’s coming to any streaming services.

When Does Candyman Release?
Candyman currently has a release date of Friday, August 27th, 2021 in both the UK and America.
The upcoming horror was originally supposed to release back in June of 2020, but the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic forced the movie’s distributors to delay it multiple times.
Candyman is directed by Jordan Peele, who many will know as the director of 2017’s Get Out and 2019’s Us. Peele was originally known for comedic sketch shows with his partner Keegan-Michael Key, but has since gone on to become one of Hollywood’s biggest directors.
Black Mirror’s very own Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will also feature as the star of Candyman, plus plenty more huge names.
Where To Watch Candyman, Is it On A Streaming Service?
If you’re eager to watch the modern-day Candyman, you will, unfortunately, have to make a trip to your local movie theatre.
Candyman will be available only in movie theatres and currently has no plans to be streamed to any service such as HBO Max, Netflix, Amazon Prime, or others.
That’s not to say that Candyman won’t arrive on one of the many streaming platforms in the future. But, for its initial release, Candyman is only available to see in movie theatres from August 27th.
