LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Barry Keoghan and his girlfriend of two-and-a-half years, Alyson Kierans, have reportedly broken up. The ex-couple made their red carpet debut in 2021 and share a 11-month-old son.
According to the Daily Mail, sources said the separation was "incredibly sad." They chose to split up after arguments about late-night partying, but they were still "determined to do the best for their son." Souces said, "They've grown apart over recent months and things have finally come to a head, as far as she's concerned, it's over."
When did Barry Keoghan and Alyson Kierans start dating?
Keoghan met Kierans, a dentist, in a London pub in February 2021. In October the same year, the pair made their red carpet debut. In June 2022, they announced they were going to be parents. In August the same year, their son, Brando, was born.
'It's indescribable'
In October 2022, Barry spoke to GQ about the birth of his son. "It's indescribable. It's a love I've not felt before," he said. The 'The Banshees of Inisherin' star dedicated his BAFTA to his son. He said in his acceptance speech, "Brando. I just want this for my son as well, Brando. For my mother and also for the kids that are dreaming to be something from the area that I came from. This is for yous."

Keoghan was in a relationship with Shona Guerin before Kierans. The actor got his big break when he was chosen to play George Mills in 'Dunkirk'. Since then, he has acted in a number of well-known movies and TV shows, such as 'American Animals', 'Chernobyl', and 'Eternals'. For 'The Banshees of Inisherin', Keoghan won a BAFTA for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and was nominated for an Oscar in the same category.
