  • MORE – Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest anime announced

The announcement was made right after the final episode of Iruma-kun season 2 was aired in Japan. A teaser trailer was shared for the occasion and can be found further down below.

Season 3 will most notably adapt the Harvest Festival arc taking place in a huge jungle of the demon world. Makoto Moriwaki is returning to direct this season.

The original Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun manga has over 23 volumes so far in Japan. And the first two seasons only covered at least up to volume 11. So there’s still quite a lot of material. The anime series turned out quite popular too, and it looks like it was popular enough to be granted one more season.

Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun season 3 trailer, release date predictions

Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun is initially titled Mairimashita! Iruma-kun. The manga was launched in 2017 by Osamu Nishi. It’s an incredibly fun comedy series, and season 3 is sure to keep that up thanks to Makoto Moriwaki. She’s one of the biggest, veteran directors in the industry and used to work on the first Doraemon anime and movies in 1979.

Makoto Moriwaki is one of the best anime directors who still regularly work on TV series, and perhaps the best comedy specialist out there. She was the director of the gag series Milky Holmes, and of the incredibly wacky PriPara, an idol anime part of the Pretty Series franchise. Everyone should watch it. Note that no release date was officially announced for Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Season 3. We can assume it won’t be coming until mid or late 2022 though seeing it was only revealed now.

The Iruma-kun series also has some spinoffs. You first have Houkago no! Iruma-kun, which is an anthology series with various authors doing short stories. Then, Mairimashita! Iruma-kun Gaiden was just started in 2021. This one focuses on Kalego’s school days at Babyls Demon School. Lastly, you have Makai no Shuyaku wa Wareware da! a spin-off taking place in the same universe but with different characters. None of these spinoffs are licensed in the USA at the moment.
