It was yet another playoff heartbreak for the Buffalo Bills as they got humiliated in the divisional playoff game by the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bills lost 10-27 to the Bengals despite having a better regular season record than Cincinnati. This was the fourth consecutive year where the Bills made it to the playoffs but weren’t able to make it to the Super Bowl. For the last two seasons, they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs while the Bengals stopped them this season.

Being the second seed, a lot was expected from them this season in the playoffs, but signs weren’t good after they nudged past the Miami Dolphins. The Bills got the better of the Dolphins marginally 34-31, where they were expected to dominate. The Bills’ no-show continued against the Bengals too. The offense, led by QB Josh Allen, looked out of sorts and had no answers to the Cincinnati defense. They managed to score just one touchdown in the entire game and Allen was criticized a lot for his performance.

During the end of the game, WR Stefon Diggs was seen exchanging some words with Allen on the sidelines. Although whatever Diggs said wasn’t captured as his back faced the camera, it was clear that he was frustrated and was lashing out at Allen. The QB just kept shut and didn’t even make eye contact with the WR.

Against the Bengals, Diggs had 4 total receptions for just 35 yards while Allen had 265 passing yards for around 60% completions and 1 INT. While Allen didn’t get intercepted for the majority of the game, he wasn’t able to move the ball around, resulting in poor offensive play from the Bills.

Fans had mixed reactions to Diggs calling out Allen. Many supported his claim, saying that the Bills lost the game because of him, while others slammed Diggs for being a crybaby because he himself didn’t have a good game.

you mean Diggs talking and Josh ignoring him

— Bill Stathopoulos (@vstathop) January 22, 2023

Disgusting behavior. Diggs only cares about his own stats, he doesn't care about winning. He should be traded to the Giants as punishment.

The Bills’ season comes to an end in the divisional round for the second consecutive year while the Bengals too will play the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game for the second consecutive year. The Bengals won the AFC last year and this time too will have a chance, especially with Patrick Mahomes‘ injury concerns.
