A live-action version of the science fiction manga series Parasyte is being produced by Netflix. Yeon Sang-ho, the director of Hellbound and the filmmaker of Train To Busan and Peninsula, will also serve as co-writer and director of the live-action version of Hitoshi Iwaaki’s science fiction manga comic book series, which has sold over 25 million copies worldwide.
It will only be available for streaming on Netflix and is produced by Climax Studios and Wow Point. The series creates its unique path while maintaining the rich world and deep ideas of the beloved manga, all set within the context of a new setting with new characters.
The series, which is set in Korea and has a new cast and plot, claims to be a modern interpretation of the classic. Fans are excited to watch the spin-off on the great Parasyte manga and many even think that the series might be better than any live-action Netflix has ever produced. Parasyte: The Grey – Release Date, Cast, Episodes List
The official release date for Netflix’s forthcoming Korean sci-fi thriller, Parasyte: The Grey, has been confirmed. The show is a completely novel adaptation of Iwaaki’s highly regarded manga Parasyte, which will have its premiere on April 5. Parasyte: The Grey features an outstanding supporting cast with members such as Lee Jung-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, and Jeon So-nee.
The cast and the launch poster’s striking images have already drawn notice, and now that the release date has also been revealed, excitement has grown more than before. Despite not having an official announcement yet, it has been predicted that the first season of the series is expected to consist of at least 6 episodes.
Jeon So-nee is set to star as Jeong Su-in, the initially introduced protagonist of Parasyte: The Grey. A growing threat to humanity is anticipated to be explored in the series, along with themes of parasitic infestation and social disruption just like the original manga.

While fans are happy with the series getting a live-action adaptation, some of them are confused after the revelation about the series following a different protagonist and storyline. They believe that the series may not be as good as the original. However, looking at the cast and the creators plus the backing of Netflix which is on a roll in the live-action adaptation world with great works such as One Piece and Avatar: The Last Airbender, the series is bound to be a success.
