Andy Murray is not the same as he used to be a few years back. However, the 36-year-old is still pushing himself and is back at the US Open. Having won the tournament back in 2012, Murray has a season to take inspiration from. The Briton had a good start to last year’s Grand Slam as Murray took down Corentin Moutet in three sets of 6-2, 7-5, 6-3. Although it took three hours for the Briton to defeat his opponent, Andy Murray will take the positives from the game.

On the other hand, Grigor Dimitrov had a tough time beating Slovakian tennis player Alex Molcan. Dimitrov had to take it till the fifth set. While the Solvakian took the two opening sets in tiebreakers, Dimitrov staged a memorable comeback winning the next three sets. The Bulgarian took the third set 6-1. Dimitrov then won the fourth set 7-5 to level the scores. In the decider, he had to sweat hard as the game into a tiebreaker, yet again. While Dimitrov could not seize it in the first two sets, he did not falter this time and took the final set 7-6 (11-9).

Now, the 19th seed will have another tough opponent in Murray and it will be interesting to see if he can take down the 2012 champion and cruise into the third round.
