The 3rd round of the US Open 2021 will see Canadian youngster Felix Auger-Aliassime take on Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut in what will be their 3rd career meeting.

Felix is still on the lookout for his maiden title despite having come close on 8 occasions. The youngster has been putting in consistent performances across surfaces which have seen him rise in the ATP rankings. Agut also came twice near to his 10th title this season but had to settle for the runner-up position. The Spaniard will be on the lookout for a win to move into the 4th round of US Open for the 3rd time.

Felix moves into the 3rd round of the US Open for the 2nd time in his career and a win over Agut will see him reach the 4th round for 2nd year running. Felix defeated Russian Evgeny Donskoy in 4-sets before overcoming Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles in straight-sets in the 2nd round.

Roberto has had an easier route so far as compared to Felix. Agut defeated Nick Kyrgios in the 1st round and Emil Ruusuvuori in the 2nd round in straight-sets on both occasions to set up his clash with Felix.
