After its premiere in London in February 2022, Turning Red is getting praises for its direction, story, and casting. Disney’s Turning Red is scheduled to release worldwide on Friday, March 11th, 2022, at 12 AM PT (Pacific Timing).

Belle Director Praises Turning Red Movie
In an interview, Mamoru Hosoda, the director who gave us great anime movies like Belle and The Girl who Leapt Through Time, praised Turning Red. Belle’s director, Domee Shi, confirmed in a video interview with Hosoda that Turning Red is inspired by several Japanese films, including The Girl who Leapt Through Time.
After watching Turning Red, Hosoda lauded Shi’s incredible work and said it’s an evolution in CG animation. On top of that, Hosoda surprised the community and Shi by drawing an illustration where we can see Belle and Mei together.
