STF: You were 19 when you filmed Ferris Bueller's Day off: How did the wardrobe of your Sloane Peterson character influence you style-wise?__MS:__At the time, I was very into a Katherine Hepburn thing, slouchy trousers, plain white t-shirts, and Keds. To be honest, I felt very awkward in the whole shorts with boots look. I had no idea, really.
STF: Did you have any input on wardrobe for your character?
MS: Marilyn Vance was incredibly nice, very good at her job, and very persuasive. The last thing she needed was my input.
__
What was your favorite outfit from the shoot & why?__
__MS:__Well, there was only one costume, and a negligee, which was to spare me the bathing suit, which I appreciated.
STF: Did you ever get to keep any of the wardrobe items from the shoot?
__MS:__I did used to have the fringe jacket, but I can't remember what I did with.
__
STF: Describe the style that you wore (off-camera) during that time period?__
__MS:__My style was nostalgic and involved pearls and penny loafers, always with the pennies in them.
STF: What are some of the worst 80s trends (ie things you'd like to stay in the past)?
__MS:__Acid washed denim was never my favorite.
STF: Are you revisiting any of the (good) 80s trends these days?
MS: I'd be more likely to wear some of the more avant-garde stuff today…exaggerated shoulders, body-con, jumpsuits…
STF: Of all the characters you've played, whose style was most closely aligned with your own (and describe the similarities)?
MS: I kept a few things from Birds Of Prey. Now I am older, my tastes are more extreme. Harley Quinn was prone to a bit of drama.
STF: What are your favorite labels, designers etc?
