Chad Mendes was an absolute monster and would be the toughest test for the Irish fighter, and it sure was. Chad Mendes troubled McGregor in the first round and made the Irishman taste blood.

With deadly elbows and amazing takedowns, Mendes was a problem for the superstar. After a brutal trade-off in the second round, Conor managed to knock out his opponent to get his hands on the interim title. McGregor’s first PPV event headliner showed the world how he could put on a show for a packed arena.
