Starstruck: It's hard to overstate how enjoyable Starstruck is. I sat down to watch 10 minutes of the first episode and I did not get up until I was almost done with the series. Hot celebrity men should fall for smart, funny, not-famous women more often—such is the plot of the charm-packed Starstruck, created by comedian Rose Matafeo, who also stars. It's like Notting Hill, except in the 2020s, and Matafeo's character compares her relationship with a movie star to “one of those weird animal friendship shows where you see a Labrador and a hedgehog who are friends.” It's superb.

Chewing Gum: At least once in every episode of Chewing Gum, the TV show Michaela Coel starred in and created before I May Destroy You, I laugh so hard that I have to actively work to control my bladder. Chewing Gum is a perfectly made sitcom about a super-scrappy, super-horny 24-year-old Tracey, who lives with her conservative Christian mom and sister in public housing in London. Watch it immediately.

The Other Two: This comedy by former Saturday Night Live head writers Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider, basically asks, “What if Justin Bieber had two dysfunctional older millennial siblings?” It has the highest joke-per-minute ratio since 30 Rock and Veep, and in a gift to anxious people everywhere, nothing really bad ever happens, and the characters are basically good people.

Love Life: Love Life gives the people what we want: a bite-sized, well-made romantic comedy, every week. It's gentle storytelling, especially the stand-alone second season that recently dropped, starring William Jackson Harper, a.k.a. Chidi on The Good Place
