We finally have The Rising Of The Shield Hero season 2 release date confirmed. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

After almost a three year wait, The Rising Of The Shield Hero is returning with its second season. The first season of the dark fantasy anime ran for a total of 25 episodes, and in a few months, the second season will start airing. Its manga is also currently running by the same name, with a total of 20 volumes being released.

For those unaware of The Rising Of The Shield Hero, it’s a story about a 20-year-old boy named Naofumi Iwatani. He is summoned into a world where he and three other people fight the monsters known as Waves. While the other three are allied with strong forces, Iwatani’s companion is the kingdom’s princess.

She betrays him, accuses him of sexual assault, and steals everything Naofumi has got. But no matter what happens, he still has to survive and fight the world on his own.

The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 2 Release Date Confirmed

At Crunchyroll Expo, which took place in 2019, it was announced that the series will get a second and third season. The release date for the second season was not out until now. But recently, the official website of The Rising Of The Shield Hero announced that the new season would start airing on Wednesday, April 6th, 2022.

The new season will air on AT-X, Tokyo MX, KBS, Kyoto, Sun TV, TV Aichi, and BS11. As for the international fans, Crunchyroll will air the new episodes. Season 2 of The Rising Of The Shield Hero is directed by Masato Jinbo, and the animation is done by the South Korean studio DR Movie.

Famous Japanese music band MADKID will perform the opening theme of the series titled, ‘Bring Back.’ On the other hand, famous Japanese pop singer Chiai Fujikawa will be doing the closing theme titled, ‘Yuzurenai.’
