Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 10 laid the groundwork for the Shibuya Incident arc. Gojo Satoru has been imprisoned by Kenjaku (pseudo-Geto) in the Prison Realm and his fool-proof plan with Mahito, Jogo, Hanami, and Choso has been successful. With the strongest sorcerer now out of the question, the villains can now proceed with the plans of conquering Shibuya village.

The Prison Realm in Jujutsu Kaisen has the ability to seal anything within its pocket dimension. Before being used, the red-colored object has a cubic appearance and can be fit in a palm. It is activated by the words ‘Gate Open’ following which long masses of flesh bind the target’s limbs before consuming it within its prison chamber. The process ends with the word ‘Gate Close.’
Such a small object now houses the Six-Eyed sorcerer. Despite being an exceptionally strong sealing mechanism, Satoru Gojo still has a chance to escape from the ‘Back Gate’ of the device.
The Different Gates Of The Prison Realm In Jujutsu Kaisen
Only one person can be captured in the Prison Realm and kept indefinitely since the time concept doesn’t apply to that dimension. There are two gates in the Prison Realm – the Front Gate and the Back Gate. While the Front Gate was used to capture Satoru Gojo in the tabooed object, the Back Gate can be used to escape the eternal prison. However, it isn’t a simple task.
After the sealing is complete, the one who commanded the Front Gate to open can only free the captive from the Prison Realm. Another method is to use a forbidden curse or object that has the ability to nullify the curses in the object in order to break open the Back Gate. Kenjaku wouldn’t dare say Gate Open after sealing Satoru Gojo so the task is to smash open the Back Gate.
Yuta, Itadori, and Megumi are doing their best to free Gojo. Unfortunately, the only two methods to unseal him have been lost or destroyed. Toji Fushiguro’s ‘Inverted Spear of Heaven’ is capable of nullifying cursed techniques as seen during the battle with Gojo’s ‘Limitless’, but it has either been destroyed by the latter or sealed someplace only known to him. Similarly, Miguel’s Black Rope had the ability to cancel cursed technique effects like the ‘Limitless’ but it was destroyed.
This is the inverted spear of heaven. Which, not only is no longer a spear but it's no longer a tri-tip spear, which it once was

Satoru Gojo Will Be Freed By Hana Kurusu’s Technique Probably In Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3
According to the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, Gojo is freed from the Prison Realm by Hana Kurusu after she uses the Jacob Ladder’s technique. Hana is the reincarnation of an ancient Heian-era sorcerer called ‘Angel’ and thus has the ability to negate other forbidden curses. Jacob’s Ladder possesses Biblical references while its strength in JJK is still unknown.
Hana rescued Satoru Gojo in Chapter 221. Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen is estimated to cover up to Chapter 136, given that Episode 10 captured the events of the manga chapters 91-93. Therefore, Gojo is most likely to return to action in the latter half of Season 3. Speculations suggest that the third season will be released somewhere around 2026-2027.
Interestingly, Gojo had the chance to escape the Prison Realm given the sorcerer supreme that he is. The Prison Realm object can capture anything within a four-meter radius but due to Satoru’s powers, he had to be mind-controlled for a minute with Geto’s memories while the bindings enveloped him. If he had snapped out of it, the case would’ve been different for Kenjaku.
