SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (WTHR) - A high school student in Florida is overwhelmed with offers for a prom date after his co-workers put his plea up on a billboard.

The student told his colleagues at a Chick-fil-A in Seminole County he was stressing about his senior prom.

"I'm like, I don't know how to find a prom date. And he's, like, 'Okay I got you, I can help you. I'm going to put your name up on the marquee'," Tanner recalled.

"Tanner needs a prom date. Details inside," the sign read.

The co-workers even printed off pictures of Tanner and showed them to inquiring customers. He said he never thought a sign outside his restaurant would land him a date or make him famous.

He said people started asking about the date in the drive-thru and even had parents offer their daughters for a prom date.

While he hasn't officially picked a date to accompany him to prom, Tanner said he's close.

"I'm working on it, I'm working on it. We have...I think we have our options narrowed down," he said.

Tanner said the sign has drawn attention from across the nation, including Hollywood.
