It was recently revealed that the Wizards of Waverly Place star has kickstarted an all-new startup named Northwood Space, a company that aims to develop and manufacture surface communication stations on the ground that can be used to establish comm links with outer space. These stations, also called teleports, will act as a data stream between Earth and space, creating a channel for better communications. In an interview with CNBC, Mendler said:
“The vision is a data highway between Earth and space. Space is getting easier along so many different dimensions but still the actual exercise of sending data to and from space is difficult. You have difficulty finding an access point for contacting your satellite.”
This vision of the actress is truly something unique that might give Elon Musk a run for his money in terms of establishing links to extraterrestrial life forms, and she’s doing so without sending rockets and satellites into space.
