Sweden declares sex as sport, first competition on Thursday

Sweden has officially announced that sexual intercourse is a sport in the country and has planned to launch its first sex tournament on Thursday, 8th of June, 2023.
According to Swedish local media, the contestants in the sex tournament will have sexual encounters for up to six hours daily and a panel of judges will choose the champions of the sex competition.

The European Sex Championship scheduled for June 8 will take place for six weeks, as participants will have sex every day for 45 minutes to one hour based on the timeframe. The report revealed that the sport has three levels, and to get to the next level, the participants must have a certain minimum number of points at each level.
The participants have the privilege to obtain between 5 and 10 points in each level, which are determined by public votes and a panel of five judges. It was learnt that the audience will watch the sex competitions and will identify different aspects of the sexual activity such as the couple’s chemistry, knowledge of sex, endurance, and other sexual characteristics.

The head of the Swedish Federation of Sex, Dragan Bratych, stated he hopes that sex would come to be recognized as a sport worldwide. He claimed that taking part in sex can enhance one’s physical and mental health.
“Like any sport, getting the results you want in sex requires training,” he said.
