INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - All this week on WTHR Sunrise, we are experimenting for our own "Do It Yourself" projects. The DIY movement is growing and there are countless videos online showing ordinary people how to become experts in just about anything.
Naomi Pescovitz decided to learn how to French Braid her own hair. She reviewed several online videos, including this one.
This is how it's done:
1. Smooth out hair with a comb.
2. Split down the part.
3. Divide one side into three sections.
4. Cross the sections.
5. Start braiding and keep adding hair along the way.
After testing out the technique on WTHR Sunrise Producer Ashley Hancock, Naomi tried it on herself. She quickly learned that French Braiding is much easier when doing it on someone else's hair.
After a few tries, Naomi was able to French Braid half of her hair, though her braid was not as tight as the one in the video. Naomi concluded that she needs a little more practice.
