Shakur Stevenson begins his journey as a lightweight boxer in front of his home crowd when he faces Shuichiro Yoshino this weekend.
The two-weight world champion unified the super featherweight division in 2022 and is now making the step up to the 135lb division.

Stevenson moved to 19-0 (9 KOs) following his unanimous decision win over Robson Conceicao but he was stripped off his titles for missing weight.
That sparked 'Fearless' to announce his move to lightweight as he again fights in his hometown of New Jersey.
The 2016 Olympic silver medallist will face undefeated Yoshino, who is on a three-fight knockout streak, but has never fought outside his native Japan before.

This 12-round WBC lightweight title eliminator will take place on Saturday, April 8.
It is being held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Due to the time difference in America, the ringwalks for the main event are not expected until around 4am for UK fans.

The event will be shown on Sky Sports Action and Sky Sports Main Event from 2am on Sunday morning.

Stevenson vs Yoshino: What has been said?
At the final press conference before the fight, Stevenson declined as handshake offer from Yoshino.
And he has claimed he is going to 'drown' his opponent this weekend as the fighting talk picks up.
He said: “This dude been running around here saying that I don’t have any power.

“He’s been saying that he’s going to push me mentally. Let’s see if he’s ready to go to the deep waters with me. I’m going to drown him.
“I’m not going in there looking for a knockout. In my last fight [against Conceicao], I went in there going for looking for a knockout. I think that’s why we ended up where we was at."
