Now, in a recent interview with Live With Kelly and Ryan, Gomez is opening up about the meaning behind the matching ink. “It means a couple of different things,” the actor said, per Billboard. “Cara [is] one of my best friends that I’ve known for [a long time]. I was maybe 16 when I met her. She calls me ‘Rosebud.’ So, it’s a nickname. I’ve always wanted a rose and now I got one and I love it.”
It’s true that Cara Delevingne and Selena Gomez have been close for years. The pair vacationed together in St. Tropez in 2014 and recently made headlines for a kiss-cam moment at a November 2021 Knicks game in New York City. In early December, Gomez spoke to Extra about working with Delevingne on the second season of her hit Hulu show. “We just did our first day together yesterday,” she said. “It’s so fun. We were just dying and laughing most of the time because we just know each other so well.”
