A Kenyan Reverend who identified himself as Jesus Christ has expressed concern that his life is in danger as a result of his proclamation.

The preacher claimed that members of his community, the Bungoma (yesu wa Tongaren), had pledged to crucify him this Easter in a manner similar to how the son of God was crucified in Christendom.

The self-proclaimed Jesus Christ reported the matter to the police when he was informed that residents of the Bungoma community were overheard saying he must be hanged on the cross during Easter the same way Jesus was crucified.

Members of the community reportedly gave the man of God the reassurance that, if he is the Messiah, he will rise from the dead on the third day and ascend to heaven following his crucifixion, so he need not fear at all.

The Reverend however visited a police station to demand protection ahead of this year’s Easter celebration.
