Indianapolis - A Pike High School senior was killed in a car crash late Wednesday morning.
It happened in the 3400 block of West 71st Street. Police say a car driven by Quincy Jones, 18, crossed the center line, resulting in a head-on crash.
The other car involved in the crash was driven by Bertha Coleman, 55, also of Indianapolis. She had a yound child who was properly restrained in the back seat. The child suffered no injuries, although another passenger in one of the vehicles, Jona Stubbs, may have suffered a broken leg along with some internal injuries that are not considered to be life threatening.
Those involved in the crash were taken to Methodist Hospital. Jones was pronounced dead shortly after noon.
At this point police don't think alcohol or speed was a factor in the crash. An autopsy will be conducted to determined the actual cause of death.
