Patrick Demarchelier Retrospective at Christie's: Pictures of

If you aren't familiar with the name Patrick Demarchelier, you are certainly well versed in his work.

As one of the world's most in-demand fashion photographers, Demarchelier is famous for his snaps of supermodels that have appeared in Vogue, *Vanity Fair *, and of course, Glamour. To be photographed by Demarchelier is to become an instant success in fashion—such was the case for Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, and Naomi Campbell, who were all photographed by Demarchelier in their early days in the business.

Now, Demarchelier has unearthed rare and some exclusive, unpublished photos for his first-ever retrospective at Christie's New York, which takes place October 2-12 . We got a peek at some of the 74 photographs and they're amazing. Here are some highlights:
