Paris Jackson, the daughter of the late Michael Jackson, celebrated her 18th birthday by getting a tattoo. But this isn't your typical tat driven by a rebellious, teenage spirit. Instead, the new ink is a sweet tribute to her dad (who died in 2009), featuring the phrase "Queen of my heart," scrawled daintily along the side of her wrist. While we can only assume it was a term of endearment the King of Pop used for his daughter before his passing, we do know that Jackson chose to have it written in her father's own handwriting, making it more meaningful than ever. She debuted the design in an Instagram photo in which she explains her decision, writing: "To everyone else he was the King of Pop. To me, well, he was the king of my heart." If that doesn't pull at your heart strings, we're not sure what will.

Justin Lewis, the tattoo artist from Timeless Tattoo 738 in L.A. who created the design, also posted a photo captioned, "Paris Michael Jackson got her tattoo today, letters from her father, so sweet."
With this June marking the seventh anniversary of Michael Jackson's death, we can definitely understand Paris' resolve on the decision. Losing a parent is hard at any age, but we're happy she has found a way to stay connected to her father through her own form of artistic expression.
