He has his life upended when a young aristocrat named Seungho kidnaps him and makes him his personal painter.

Seungho learns the name of the artist responsible for those racy paintings: Baek Na-Kyum. The mother Kisaeng adopted him as a baby and nurtured him as her own. Recap of the Previous Chapter

Previously in the story of Painter Of The Night, Seungho and Na-Kyum go clothes shopping. He was changing clothes when he learned there would be a parade. Seungho noticed his elation and asked if he was delighted for Jung In-Hun’s success.

To this, a teary-eyed Na-Kyum explains that he had always pictured himself leading the march from the farthest corner. And now, with Seungho’s hand in his, there was a noticeable difference; he was so overjoyed that he was in tears.

Jealousy

In-Hun interrupted their tender moment by rushing over to hug Na-Kyum. He expressed his elation at finally meeting Na-Kyum, stating that he needed to share some news with him. In-Hun assures Na-Kyum that he is appreciative and that he will return for him shortly.

Seungho’s jealousy at Na-Kyum accepting In-Hun’s headgear is evident in his facial expressions. In private, Na-Kyum tells Seungho that he stole the hat from In-Hun because he thought it would look better on him than on In-Hun. Then he leads Seungho to a corner and places the hat on his head. A tender kiss followed that.
