‘One Piece’ Season 2 is Seemingly Confirmed After Netflix Earns Over $140,000,000 Hours Watch Time With the Live Action Series

One Piece live action was very anticipated due to its budget and the involvement of Oda sensei, who made sure not to let this project go to waste. One Piece is a legendary anime, and fans were worried about how the live-action would turn out. Fortunately, the live-action series broke all the records and earned a staggering $140,000,000 in watch time, which undoubtedly confirmed its second season.

One Piece is one of the greatest stories ever written, and millions of people follow it with love and joy. Live actions have always been an issue for anime fans as they tend to destroy the hard work of authors and animators.

However the involvement of Oda sensei turned out to be a lifesaver and all the members including actors, directors and staff members managed to make it a super hit thriller.

How well did One Piece live-action do on Netflix?

When the project was initially announced One Piece fans around the world looked in awe as they couldn’t fathom the thought of their beloved series going down the drain.

The numbers that the live-action has generated are truly astounding and not that easy to digest. According to reports it earned 18.5 million views between August 31st and September 3rd.

Simultaneously it also managed to get over 140 million hours of watch time within its first opening weekend, and will even get more and more in upcoming days.

The series is very popular around the world and it was evident when the live action managed to top the charts in more than 86 countries overall.

It also received positive reviews on other sites such as Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB and it also managed to become the most successful anime adaption of all time.

Even though we have not yet seen an official announcement it is inevitable that season 2 of the series is going to happen

When can fans expect season 2?

The reason the series was so successful was because Oda sensei supervised everything and was very involved in the production and even made the actors redo some scenes until he felt satisfied.

If he had rushed the series we might not have been able to see such results. The series was announced in the year 2022 and was released in the year 2023.

We can expect a second season 2 anywhere between 1-2 years with even more improved acting, soundtrack and direction.
