Olivia Palermo: My Prediction For Breakout Style Star Of "The City"

There are about 250 reasons why I'm already obsessed with MTV's The City (starting with the fact that I've lived here for five-plus years and um, it makes me want to move here). But one of the biggest is naturally the clothes, and I think Pretty Young Thing Olivia Palermo is poised to be the show's breakout style star.

She's rather genius at playing the Blair Waldorf-esque bee-otch ("This is your first pair of Manolos?! I got mine when I was like, 17!") and she's got the perfectly polished wardrobe to go with it. Those wide-barrel curling iron curls are never out of place, her Louboutins have barely a scuff on them, and her clothes are uptown pretty with a slight downtown edge (though not too far downtown: heaven forbid she befriend a girl who likes--gasp--guys in fedoras!).

I also have a little style crush on Olivia because I know she shops at Zara! This summer, I bought a $72 maxi dress there that got me through about 2,000 events, including a Sonoma Valley wedding at a vineyard. And then I spotted Miss O. out in it a few nights later...you've got to love a "social" who isn't afraid to shop at a cheap-chic emporium like Zara!
