Riot Games has done a great job when it comes to keeping the game fresh. They consistently add new additions to the game, such as new skin bundles, maps, battle passes and other cosmetic items. However, we have not yet seen a new weapon in Valorant added to the game’s arsenal. If what fans see on the internet is true, that will change very soon.
An image of a new sniper rifle in Valorant is circulating the internet in what appears to be an early-access build of the game. The weapon is placed between the two sniper rifles that already exist in the game. The photo stems from a Chinese Valorant clip on the platform Bilibili. The clip was meant to show off new bundle skins that were coming to the game. An early-access build of the game appears to be used for this purpose, and the buy menu is opened briefly.

The first new weapon “Outlaw” will debut soon in Valorant
From the image, the new weapon in Valorant appears to be a sniper rifle called The Outlaw. Stylistically, it resembles an old west style lever-action rifle. The Outlaw, in the meanwhile, seems to be priced at 2400 credits. This falls between the cheap Marshal, at 950 credits, and the Operator, which is the most expensive weapon in the game, at 4700 credits.
Considering that this is a leak and not official information, Riot Games can change the price between now and the launch of the weapon. Given that the price lies between the two existing snipers, players can assume that the weapon’s strength will also lie somewhere in between.
The Marshal already takes down enemies at full health with only two body shots and one headshot at all ranges. It is hard to imagine how much more powerful the Outlaw will be without making it stronger than the solid Operator. The Outlaw is also more expensive than reliable rifles such as the Bulldog and the Guardian. The weapon will have to be strong enough to justify the cost while at the same time not ruining the game’s balance.
