INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — There are new guidelines on how you can help prevent cancer.

The American Cancer Society is placing more of an emphasis on increasing how much physical activity you should have.

The new recommendation is between 150 and 300 minutes of moderate-intensity or 75 and 150 minutes of vigorous-intensity exercise per week.

People should also eat a healthy diet and avoid red and processed meats, sugar-sweetened beverages, highly-processed foods and refined grain products.

When it comes to alcohol, women should limit it to one drink a day and two for men, though none is best.
