Met Gala 2016: Gigi Hadid's Manicure Cost a Casual $2,000. NBD.

We understand why Gigi Hadid kept her hands tightly interlocked with Zayn Malik's while they posed outside last night's Met Gala. We'd cling to our hot boyfriend the same way if we were making our red carpet couple debut while being confronted with a pack of aggressive photographers on a notoriously hazardous staircase. The problem is, all this hand-gripping meant that many photos left out one epic detail of Hadid's futuristic look: a set of real chrome nails matched to Malik's robot arms. Nails that cost, oh, $2,000 to create. You know, casual. Even in Hadid's one Instagram post about the event, the nails are hidden. Our three-day-old chipped nail polish probably got more attention yesterday, except for negative reasons.

We feel it's borderline criminal for these nails to be denied the spotlight. So we're taking it upon ourselves to share some close-ups of them, courtesy of celebrity manicurist Mar y Soul, who created the set of heavy-metal almond-shaped Kiss faux nails. Note the real crystals hidden under the tips—this manicure just loves to play hard to get.
