Jake Paul has initiated discussions to fight Neeraj Goyat, a relatively unknown Indian boxer. Paul’s comment has sparked discussions of another Jake Paul event, this time with another little-known pro boxer. Here is what happened:

Goyat has challenged Jake Paul, expressing his intent to make the fight more than a personal pursuit. Goyat made an intense reel challenging Paul. Jake Paul did respond and not only once. Paul wrote:

Brother you too small. Walking around at 150 lbs? Maybe I tie one arm behind my back?

This was not the only comment Paul posted. Paul also took the liberty of posting back-to-back comments in Hindi which sparked much amusement in the comment section. In Hindi, Paul wrote that this fight was not about India and America. He said he appreciates all his supporters in India. Paul said that if Neeraj wants a chance then he will have to stop the story of Vs India.

Meanwhile, Paul’s boxing promotion took to the comment section to update on the status of discussions. They first commented saying that they had reached out and asked Neeraj to check his DM. An hour later, another comment from Most Valuable Promotions declared that the discussions had started.

Neeraj Goyat is an Indian professional boxer. Notably, he earned the title of “India’s most promising boxer” in 2008. Neeraj Goyat was awarded Asia’s Honorary Boxer of the Year in 2017. He boasts a reported record of 18-4-2 and was originally set to face Amir Khan in 2019. Goyat weighs 50lbs less than Paul on average.

Jake Paul’s previous professional boxing match against Andre August

YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul defeated Andre August with a first-round knockout in Orlando, Florida. The 26-year-old Paul improved his record to 8-1 with the win, which came at 2:32 of the first round itself.

Paul’s victory over August came via a crushing uppercut. August, 35, entered the fight with a 10-1-1 record as a professional boxer, though only one of those fights came in the past four years. This was Paul’s first win against a proper professional boxer who was not an ex-athlete in some other sport.

Other than August, Jake Paul faced Tommy Fury in a cruiserweight professional boxing match. The fight took place at Diriyah Arena in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. Fury won by split decision.

Paul’s boxing career began in August 2018 when he defeated British YouTuber Deji Olatunji in an amateur contest via TKO in the fifth round. Paul has fought eight opponents thus far and knocked out five of them. Reportedly Paul’s next fight will take place at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan.
