Hello all

Back at work for another week. Flying solo for the rest of the season (~month). They pulled my co-worker to work in  the lab downtown.

A nice day here on the hill.

Bill and I got the left head back on the '65 4-dr Corvair and got it started. Changed the oil too. We need to adjust the valves on the head that came off next week.

The tire place got the other four rims in and the tires I wanted for the van. They didn't have time to get them mounted on Tues before I had to head back to work. When I went to pay for them, I told them I didn't have time to put them on anyway:) We will then swap the 14" rims from the van on to the 4-dr.

Worked w/ the student intern last week a bit. We made the garbage run to the dump. A first for him, he said the dump wasn't quite what he expected:) We then put the trailer at the 18th St yard so Gene could get rid of a couple of old sheds. Got a good look at the '52 Twin Coach/Fruehauf Air Force bus. That is a cool machine. Basically a Fruehauf trailer on a Twin Coach chassis w/ the front of the trailer having windows and lights.

Oh, and I finally pulled the old radio antenna out of the van. The nut is missing and it has been poking up out of the front for the nearly 9 years since I have owned it. Cable was broken so I picked up a new one at a local FLAPS I think should work. The original radio still turns on so I am hoping w/ the new antenna it may work.

RT - nice truck!

Kev - I think you made out pretty good on your Ranger. I had an '88 Ranger I liked a while back. Sold it when I bought the big Dodge diesel to tow my park model I had at the time. I helped a friend take out a plastic bedliner of her truck and after I saw the damage it caused to the paint I swore that I would never use one. I hate how stuff slides around in those things too. Gene has one in his truck and every time he hits the brakes hard my toolboxes go all the way to the front!

Dennie - would like to chat w/ you about air guns some day.

Time to go to work.
