Look for a Way to Destroy the Bedrock Keys Genshin Impact Guide

Here is our guide on how to complete the “Look for a Way to Destroy the Bedrock Keys” sub quest in Genshin Impact 2.6 and Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering.

Genshin Impact 2.6 was finally released, and it’s a huge update adding two major elements. First, Kamisato Ayato was finally added as a playable character, and fans have been waiting for him for months. Secondly, the update adds The Chasm, an area that was tagged on the map ever since Genshin Impact Closed Beta Test 3 in early 2020 before the game’s release, but was still inaccessible till now. The area includes many new quests, and one of them will require players to “Look for a Way to Destroy the Bedrock Keys”. Here’s how you do it.

How to clear Look for a Way to Destroy the Bedrock Keys in Genshin Impact 2.6

During the Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering, you’ll be asked to find the Bedrock Keys and to destroy them. The Bedrock Keys are the floating Geo-like constructs in the Chasm, and you’ll be able to destroy them by hitting the Cage-Shaped Geo Formations near them.

Using the Cage-Shaped Geo Formations

• First, find the Geogranum near the Formations. Remember those things you’d break that would contain Geo light shards back when you first explored Liyue? Those are the Geogranums.
• Use a Geo or a Claymore character to break them faster.
• Once you do so, you will automatically pick up the light that comes out
• Approach the Cage-Shaped Geo Formations.
• Once the light goes in, attack the Formation so they fire a crystal projectile.
• You need to attack several times so that the projectile hits the Bedrock Key.
• If the projectile doesn’t hit the Bedrock Key because it’s too high, then try another Cage-Shaped Geo Formation first.
• Make sure to face the Bedrock Key when attacking to aim the projectiles at it.
• Once the Cage-Shaped Geo Formation breaks, move to the other one and repeat those same steps.

You will need to repeat the same steps with each of the Bedrock Keys in order to break the seal on the Chasm and clear Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering. Once you’re done, you will unlock access to the Underground Mines of the Chasm, the bigger part of the area, with its specific map.

Moreover, it’s important to note that one of the Bedrock Keys is hidden underground. However it’s fairly easy to find. It’s located in the same underground cave as in the Lost Valley Artifacts Domain. So once you’ve unlocked the Domain, you’ll be able to reach the Bedrock Key too.
