A coroner's van was also spotted at the residence while relatives, close companions, and fans struggled to come to terms with the actor's death.

As per sources, Perry was discovered unresponsive in the jacuzzi, however, no drugs were found at the site, and there was no sign of foul play, according to a report by Daily Mail.

Following her separation from Matthew’s father, John Bennett Perry, she tied the knot with Keith Morrison, a distinguished broadcast journalist and a correspondent for Dateline NBC, in 1981.

In a 2017 interview with Andy Cohen, Morrison stated that he believed Matthew would become famous in the future, but "probably not as an actor," and said, "He is a very good guy."

Morrison also talked candidly about his connection with his Matthew in a 2020 PEOPLE Magazine interview, calling him "remarkable." "He's an intense, talented, focused character. He's very bright. That was always the case as he was growing up," said the journalist, adding, "We love having him around."
