Battle Ground,Ind. - Four wolf pups born in New York are calling Indiana home these days and being raised by people at Wolf Park near Lafayette.
The pups born April 27 arrived at the Battle Ground education research facility on May 9 and have been bottle fed every four hours by workers who stay with them 24 hours a day.
They're the first batch of wolf pups at the facility since 2005. Two will stay on to join the facility's other four wolves, and the other two will be transferred to zoos in Illinois and Montana when they are old enough.
Workers say they are staying with the pups around the clock to help them adjust to living permanently in captivity.
