‘I want to marry my cousin, we’ve been dating for 3 years’ – Nigerian man reveals

Pinehas Asser, a Nigerian man, has taken to Facebook to disclose that he wishes to marry his cousin.
In a Facebook post dated 16th of May 2023, he revealed that they have been dating for 3 years and love each other very much. He noted that he is 30 years old while his cousin is 23 and so they are grown enough to marry.

He asked for advice on how they can approach their parents without facing outright rejection because they are cousins. His revelation sparked mixed reactions online as many had opposing views on the situation. While many people criticised them for getting romantically entangled in the first place, others encouraged them to go ahead with their relationship.
