Denzel Washington is one of the top actors in the world. A formidable action hero, he has starred in numerous award-winning movies across genres, showcasing his acting genius in every and any role he takes. While the star has worked with many fellow A-list actors and talented directors, he has never worked with Quentin Tarantino.
Even after their infamous ‘feud’ was resolved ages ago, Tarantino has never cast or made a film starring Washington. And so when they both appeared on the Jonathan Ross show back in 2009, Washington had some questions to ask.
When Denzel Washington Confronted Quentin Tarantino For Not Working With Him
Both Quentin Tarantino and Denzel Washington are geniuses when it comes to their respective crafts. While Tarantino has made multiple award-winning and memorable movies, Washington has shocked the world with his highly impressive acting talent.
Despite both being masters in their crafts, their paths have only crossed once back in the late 1990s when Tarantino was asked to re-write the script for Washington’s Crimson Tide. And there began a feud that lasted for years to come. But even after their feud was resolved, they never collaborated.
So when they both made an appearance on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross Show back in 2009, Washington was asked why he hadn’t worked with the Pulp Fiction director yet, to which he responded,
“Naah, he’s never hired me. He has never hired me!”
So naturally, Ross turned to Tarantino to ask why he hadn’t written him a script yet, and the director answered,
“I haven’t been that lucky. It would be my honor and I’m really not just saying that. I think he is one of the best actors in the world.”
And Washington being the gentleman he is, left the discussion there.

Quentin Tarantino And Denzel Washington’s Infamous Feud
Quentin Tarantino is known for directing as well as writing his scripts. Apart from his movies, he has also done some uncredited work for his contemporaries. During the 1990s he was asked to re-write the script for Crimson Tide. However, things suddenly took a turn for the worse when the director included an allegedly racist dialogue.
Soon enough Washington confronted the director, in public despite the director’s request to resolve the matter in private. What followed was an apparent feud between the two as a result of one dialogue. But back in 2012, in an interview with GQ, stated that their feud had been resolved. He even revealed that his eldest daughter had been working as a crew member on Tarantino’s Django Unchained.
