The wait for a new season of Fortnite is over, as Epic Games has opened Pandora’s Box and revealed all about the latest Chapter 5 Season 2. The latest season, called Myths & Mortals, launched on March 8, and it has gone back in time, bringing Greek mythology to the battle royale.
The new Fortnite season introduces Greek gods with their signature powers to the game, including Zeus and Hades, legendary locations, weapons, a brand-new collaboration, and more. The new season is going to be a myth to remember.
Fortnite C5S2: Myths & Mortals Welcomes Greek Gods to the Battle Royale
The new Fortnite season, Myths & Mortals, brings Olympus and its legends, including Hades, Aphrodite, Cerberus, Medusa, Artemis, a slurp juice version of Poseidon, and the thunder god Zeus. The new season is also changing the battle royale map and adding locations from Greek mythology, including Zeus’ throne site, Mount Olympus, with a giant winged statue on top.
SUGGESTEDFortnite isn’t the Only Game Getting an Avatar: The Last Airbender Collaboration
The other locations added to the battle royale are the Cerberus-guarded Grim Gate, home of Hades with a glowing green river called The Underworld, and Brawler’s Battleground, where players will have to go against the god of war, Ares, and these are just some of the areas.
The gods are also coming with their powers and weapons, which will make matters worse for the mortals. Zeus wields his Thunderbolt, which will allow players to rise into the air and throw lightning bolts at their opponents. The Thunderbolt of Zeus has three charges with a cooldown between them. Moreover, the Wings of Icarus are also available with the new season and will let players get in the air and zoom down on their enemies.

However, not all gods are getting the mythical powers, such as Cerberus getting the Gatekeeper Shotgun, which fires three rounds in succession and is best suited for short-range combat. Hades has a Harbinger SMG that deals high damage and has increased recoil and spread. Artemis has a Huntress DMR rifle, and Ares gets the Warforged Assault Rifle.
Additional Details About Chapter 5 Season 2: Myths & Mortals
Myths & Mortals brings back some weapons from the last season, including the Hammer Pump Shotgun, Frenzy Auto Shotgun, Nemesis AR, Thunder Burst SMG, Reaper Sniper Rifle, and Ranger Pistol. The new season also adds the Thermal Scope and Speedgrip weapon mods. The Thermal Scope doubles the viewing range, and the Speedgrip mod increases movement speed.
The Myths & Mortals Battle Pass has also arrived in the game and can be purchased for 950 V-Bucks. Players can unlock rewards by earning XP across battle royale, creator-made islands, Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival. The pass includes outfits for Cerberus that unlock immediately, as well as outfits for other gods: Aphrodite, Poseidon, Medusa, Zeus, Artemis, and Hades.
