In a recent update, PUBG Mobile added a lightweight installation function to the game. The feature lets users manage the amount of storage space the game occupies on the device. You can choose between an HD resource pack and a low res resource pack. Choosing the low res resource pack frees up space at the cost of graphical quality. You can also manage unused assets and delete assets that you don’t need. You can reduce the game to about 600mb using this feature and still enjoy the game smoothly. Here’s how to use PUBG Mobile Lightweight Installation function.
Managing resources using PUBG Mobile Lightweight Installation
First, Open PUBG Mobile and go to the game settings screen by clicking the settings icon.
Scroll downwards until you see an option called “downloads” and click on it.
You will reach a screen that shows various resource packs.
Select which packs you want to download or and proceed.
You can also remove resource packs by pressing the small bin icon next to them.
This will let you manage how big the game is and free up space if necessary.
You can get the full experience of the game without having to download all the resources and you save storage space. This feature is a very practical addition with lots of apps taking up a ton of space on phones. There is also a smart delete option which will recommend unused resources to be deleted. You can keep the stuff you need and make sure your phone storage is not filling up unnecessarily.
