How To Use Ancient Coin

Ancient Coins are an item you might find yourself picking up every now and then in Honkai Star Rail. However, you might be wondering what you can do with these and where exactly you can find more of them.

There are a few different methods you can use to pick up some more Ancient Coin in the game, and we will go over each one here. These will be relatively easy to find, so you can rapidly build up your collection of the item.

Destructible Objects Jarilo-VI

The first way to get some Ancient Coins in your pocket is to destroy any of the destructible objects you find within the Jarilo-VI world. We were especially able to find a few in the Outlying Snow Plains, as shown in the image above.

These objects will appear in non-Safe Zone areas in Jarilo-VI, which is basically just any of the areas where you'll only find enemies rather than civilization. It seems, when it comes to finding Ancient Coins, there are no specific destructible objects where they can be found, so you'll just need to break open any of the ones you find within Jarilo-VI.

Trash Cans Jarilo-VI

Another place where you'll find a few Ancient Coins is within a few trash cans across Jarilo-VI. We were able to find a few around the Administrative District, and have provided a picture above. You can also visit the Underworld portion of Jarilo-VI, where you'll find plenty of trash cans to pillage. Just like with the Destructible Objects, there don't seem to be any specific trash cans that the Ancient Coin will appear in, so you'll just need to visit any that you find within the cities.

Administrative District Fountain

Within the Administrative District stands a tall fountain, just outside the museum. You might have already visited this fountain previously to offer up a few Praises of High Morals. These are a reward you will get for completing good deeds within all regions.

At the fountain, once you have offered up at least 5 Praises of High Morals to it, you will receive an Ancient Coin in return. We are currently unsure if you'll be able to get more from the fountain after offering even more Praises of High Morals, but we will be sure to update you here if we are able to pick up more!

Now that you've stacked up on Ancient Coin, you might be wondering what exactly you can do with these items sitting in your bag. Unfortunately, you'll be unhappy to hear that there is only one thing you can do with it, and it isn't much of a reward.

After you have picked up at least 3 Ancient Coin, you'll get the achievement 'Twinkly, Winkly'. This achievement will reward you with 5 Stellar Jade, which might not be a lot, but it's better than nothing. Ancient Coin are also considered a mission item, so there's a possibility that these will be needed in the future for a quest, which will hopefully have more rewards available for you.
