Genshin Impact 2.6 is finally out, and this is a huge update every veteran player was waiting for. First, Kamisato Ayato was finally added as a playable character, letting us experiment with new party compositions and builds that include a new Hydro Sword husbando besides Xingqiu. Moreover, we’ve got new story elements, new quests, and of course, the Chasm. Here’s how you get there.

How to go to the Chasm in Genshin Impact 2.6

Getting to the Chasm is actually pretty simple as there are no barrier or puzzles to solve. But there are several steps you should do first. Genshin Impact is primarily a story-driven game, so whenever new content like new areas is revealed, you’ll only be able to access it after playing through a certain amount of story. Luckily, you don’t need to have done everything to enter the Chasm, and the prerequisites are things veterans players have already done long ago. As for newcomers players, here’s what you need to do.

Prerequisites and quests to complete

• You must be at Adventure Rank 28 or over.
• You must have completed the Archon Quest “A New Star Approaches”.
• After that, head to the south west of Liyue to the entrance of the Chasm, circled red on the map screenshot below.
• Speak with the two guards there to enter the area.

The depths of The Chasm, the Underground Mines area, will unlock once you clear the World Quest Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering. The world quest is straightforward and you only need to follow the instructions in-game and read the dialogue.
