Step 7:
Last up, I applied It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara to my upper and lower lashes, using only a few coats so they didn't get too clumpy. For such a soft look, I wanted sleek, long lashes verses thicker, dramatic ones. The latter would have killed the vibe.

THE VERDICT:
Real talk: I all but expected this was going to make me look like a cross between a unicorn and a clown (not a thing, but totally could be). To my pleasant surprise, I ended up loving it and was won over by how pretty and wearable it is. I think this is largely due to the fact that the pastels shadows I used here are soft, muted, and not overly shimmery.
Compared to the original look, this version ended up being a little more subdued, which I think works well for an everyday situation as opposed to the runway. I was feeling it so much I even wore it out to dinner with my family later that night, and no one said anything weird about it. (A major feat for the family that has seen my wear many iterations of blue lipstick in the light of day.) Also, by coincidence, I was wearing jean bell-bottoms at the time, so I felt like a groovy '70s makeup Aquarius, which I've decided is how I want to feel at all times. Pass the pastels, please!
