Forget Ralph Fiennes, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Casting as Voldemort in WB’s Harry Potter Reboot Series Takes Fans by Storm in Viral Fan Art

When fans think about Voldemort, Benedict Cumberbatch may not be the first person that comes to mind. The Harry Potter franchise is one that has been known and loved for decades. Despite the controversies following the author, the franchise as a whole is much loved. Now that a series for the same is underway, fans have already begun speculating as to who could take over as the iconic characters.
Out of the very many characters, fans are most excited to see who will be taking over as the Golden Trio. However, another interesting fan art has diverted their attention. The audience seems to be more interested in the main antagonist now. Since Ralph Fiennes left some big shoes to fill, it is only ideal for a great actor to take over, in this case, it could be none other than Cumberbatch.

It is not hard for fans to imagine Benedict Cumberbatch as a wizard. In fact, they don’t even have to imagine him, the actor portrayed Doctor Strange in the Marvel Cinematic Universe flawlessly. Keeping that in mind, a popular opinion that rose amongst the audience was of the actor as Voldemort. It also seems to be rather unanimous.
Many are amazed by how great he looks as a character in fan art. Although it is merely a wish, the idea does not seem too far-fetched. Amongst other actors, another name that often pops up is Olivia Coleman as Dolores Umbridge. If the cast were really to be what fans are dearly hoping for, then the Harry Potter reboot series might be much better than expected. Cumberbatch could very easily pull off both Tom Riddle and Voldemort looks. Since he is already a talented and established actor, the wish may even be possibly manifested.

Fans Fawn Over Benedict Cumberbatch As Voldemort
Fans are more than excited to see the fan art of Benedict Cumberbatch as Voldemort and many even went on to make their own versions of it. Some fans even found it difficult to imagine how the actor wasn’t already asked about the role. The positive response that the fan-casting has gotten is rather rare to see.
After watching Star Trek again, I’m fully convinced that in a reboot of Harry Potter, Benedict Cumberbatch should play Voldemort.

Buzzed at 3 pm day before Thanksgiving. I was just informed that Ralph Fiennes played Voldemort by my horrified teenager. I thought forever it was Benedict Cumberbatch.

Even though there are some fans who do not agree with the actor taking on the iconic role, a majority of the audience can envision him as the antagonist and are more than happy about it. They want to see the actor take up the role officially and get in touch with his inner wizard once again, but with a cunning twist this time.
