This is 100% correct as I am a retail shop owner.

However, they (the pro shop) do have the right to send them back to the manufacturer or supplier to make sure that it is not consumer error.

If a report then comes back and the manufacturer has decided it is consumer error then any charge against the shop will not stick.

Shops will not want to lose future business so sometimes will take the hit but they don't have to if consumer error has been reported back to them.

The SOGA is there to protect the retailer (seller) just as much as the consumer (buyer)
